Thanksgiving is a national holiday celebrated in the United States on the fourth Thursday in November. American’s trace the holiday to a 1621 celebration at Plymouth Plantation. In 1789, after a request from Congress, the 1st United States President, George Washington, made a proclamation for the nation to celebrate Thanksgiving. It began as a harvest festival. In 1863, during Abraham Lincoln’s presidency, Thanksgiving became a federal holiday.

The Inn at Celebrity Dairy and Celebrity Dairy Farm is thankful for the people and animals who make our work possible. The people who are B&B guests at our inn, who attend our events including Open Barns and Third Sunday Dinners, those attending Farmers Markets, and for local restaurants who buy our products. Without our adorable Celebrity Dairy Goats, we could not produce our healthy goat’s milk, our award-winning goat cheese, and our goat soaps.

If you want to celebrate Thanksgiving you are invited to our Celebrity Dairy Farm! After the meal (and before Gwen’s Apple Pie and our Ginger Gelato Dessert), we allow guests to visit with our friendly Celebrity Goats. You are welcome to take pictures and, if you would like to, we even let you hold our adorable baby goats!

The Thanksgiving holiday is intended for remembering what we are thankful for and for spending time with loved ones enjoying our many blessings like delicious food. We look forward to having you dine with us at our Thanksgiving Dinner at the Farm here in Siler City, North Carolina at the Inn at Celebrity Dairy.
